With great pride, we present one of the most anticipated releases in our history.

This is a rum we have pursued for years, and after a long search, we finally succeeded in acquiring and bottling this exceptional cask.

Distilled in 1992 at Enmore Distillery in Guyana on the legendary Versailles single wooden pot still (MEC), this rum represents one of the most iconic and traditional styles ever produced in Demerara rum history.

After distillation, the spirit was transported to Europe, where it has matured for 34 years in total continental aging, developing extraordinary depth, complexity, and refinement. Bottled at cask strength 56.6% ABV, yielding only 230 bottles.

Deep and profoundly complex. Aromas of polished mahogany, old library books, dark molasses, and burnt sugar open the profile. Layers of dried figs, prunes, dates, and black cherries follow, supported by licorice, tobacco leaf, leather, and a subtle smoky tar-like undertone. A distinctive metallic-mineral note, typical of Enmore wooden stills, adds incredible identity and depth.

Full-bodied, oily, and intensely structured. Rich Demerara sugar, treacle, and dark caramel lead the way, followed by dried fruits, raisin, plum, and fig compote. Notes of bitter chocolate, espresso, anise, and roasted oak develop, while hints of cedarwood, nutmeg, and clove bring elegant spice. The signature MEC character shows through with earthy, slightly metallic complexity and old barrel depth.

Extremely long and evolving. Dark chocolate, molasses, leather, and dry oak linger for minutes, followed by spice, tobacco, and a final wave of dried fruits and mineral tension.

A landmark release

This bottling has been created in celebration of the German Rum Fest 2026 and marks the 15th anniversary edition of the event.
